My new experience..............

I am truly Brazilian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
OMG, I don't think I have been so embaressed, so uncomfortable, so sore, so in pain and so bare!!! and I've had two bubbas! the above generally counts at childbirth too but at least its a natural process!
I have only ever had my armpits waxed before - ONCE, so what did Shar go and do???? get the whole lot done!
I have 6 weeks to comp and so that I can be done just before comp and know that I won't have a reaction I had to be done this week to allow for re-growth.
So in I went booked it - FULL LEG, FULL ARM and FULL BRAZILIAN.
I have to laugh now at my reactions and it does feel good to be waxed everywhere but I will definately have to physc myself up for my next appt.
Aside from that all has been good. Work is getting on my nerves a bit, but come to think of it so have lots of other minor things, perhaps the whole prep process is starting to take a turn.
Have had house hassles but they seem to be working out and not to anything by halves I will be moving house at 4 weeks out from comp.
Can't remember if I posted it but Hubby resigned from his Personal Training Managers role to return solely to Personal Training. He is doing very well and had a very successful 1st month, he deserves to do well, he has so much passion for it and also knows that he needs to provide a professsional service to his clients, which sometimes you realy don't see with some Personal Trainers.
Anyway, nothing furher to report, all going well and don't forget if yuo want more specifics and pics about my Comp Prep I have a different blog for that -
Hope you are all well,

Phew... HOW BUSY CAN ONE BE!!!!?

I'm still here..... JUST!!
Hi all.
So yes I have been 'missing from blogland' but it is all good.
When I used to 'missing from blogland', it usually meant bad news, for example, I had had a binge or just not been training or my focus wasn't quite right!

Now it means I have no bloody spare time due to to much focus!!

My days looks pretty much like this everyday :
Get up,
cardio,
eat,
sort the kids,
teach a couple of classes,
home to eat,
go to work (Co-ordinator work),
Train,
eat,
get ready for evening classes,
pick up kids,
cook tea,
eat,
teach a couple of classes,
eat,
Maddison to bed,
Cardio,
eat,
shower & ready for bed,
Bryce to bed,
eat,
stuff for work on computer,
get everything & everyone ready for the next day
eat (drink)
sleep ZZZzzzzz.........
Get Up.......

But I hate being bored with no focus and life just floating on by!!

The days and weeks are just zooming past and it scares me!!

I have updated my other blog also, I had two weeks worth to get in! Opppssss! so much for it being called a daily diary :)

I could probably could be a little better with my time management and squeeze an extra hour out of every day, but I just need to concentrate on doing that and my concentration right now is on alot of other things.

So I will keep it brief now as my day is structured by the clock and I'm 45 mins behind!!!! ARRRGGGGGGGGGHHHH - the Virgo control freak in me is going crazey at that thought.

SEE YA!!!! I'm off.......................

I'm soooooo TALL

All this training and eating well and I have had a growth spurt!!
Or perhaps Sam has shrunk?

Sam and I at our friend Jen's wedding 3 weeks ago now (how time flies!!). We were laughing as Damo took a pic and Sam made me look so small!!(see Sam's blog) so I made her bob down to make me look super tall.
Thanks for all my comments in my diary blog, will still be using this one for general stuff.
Work has been busy as we had to have payroll done early due to ANZAC DAY and because I have two clubs at the moment it was lengthy!!
All training done for the week, just one more cardio session to do tonight. Thats cool though as hubby and boy have been and got themselves a PS3, so they won't even notice i've ducked into tthe treaddie for 45 mins!
Really looking forward to my session with Sam this week, hope to have made more progress and see perhaps a few ideas for my routine now the song has been choosen.
Probably gonna treat myself to a new polar HRM this weekend, been spying the F4 on e bay.
Anyways, not much else to tell you here, just been mummying, working, training, eating, wifeying, not much playing happening right now, but hey thats just fine, I love everything thats going on right now, I have an amazing family and all I could dream of.
Have a great weekend all

Mind Management

Just to let you know I have made a second blog. It is going to be a place that I log more about actual training, nutrition and how I'm feeling mentally.

I wanted to keep something thats more of a diary so I can look back see how I was feeling and dealing with things on this Journey to July, especially when I get closer to comp.

This blog will be a little of everything about me, life, work, kids etc etc and the other wll be a more in depth account, my mind management! Please understand though, if I want to winge I will do (probably alot towards the end!), if I want to scream and shout about how well I think i'm doing I will, so if you don't want to read this stuff, don't, stay with this one, but one things for sure it will be open and honest.

I have had it for a few weeks now and kept it closed but have decided to open it up for all to read, as I feel this little community is great support and if this is were I'm putting all the nitty grity stuff I may be able to draw on everyones support.

Heres the link - http://journeytonovicefigure.blogspot.com/

Hope you are all well and thanks for all the comments.

Another one down!

Wow another week down!! 3 Weeks down and heading into 13 weeks out tomorrow.

Friday night and I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself as I have a cold, feeling really crappy. BUT the difference now is I am still on track, still got all my sessions in and trying to focus on getting better - earlier nights etc.

Before when I got sick I would huddle up, eat crap 'nice' food that I couldn't even taste and abandon my exercise.

Anyway, I'm getting all my stuff ready for my 2nd sesion with Sam, I meet weekly with her now to do my posing practice and soon start my routine etc.
I really enjoyed it last week, you should have seen me in those shoes though!! and I kept getting told 'get your butt up'........ I wasn't tilting my pelvis enough!! well what do you expect, I have a huge ass and have always tried to tuck it in not stick it out! :)

My week has been busy, two Group Fitness Co-ordinators posts, all my classes, training, kids off school etc etc, but all I thought was 'I don't have as much on as Ali at the mo and she is doing it, so shut up and get on with it Sharleen'. THANKS ALI, your an inspiration!

Have not deviated one incy bit from my plans, both food and exercise, still feeling extremely focussed and really do want to make this reality.

Anyway, only a quickie as I must have my last meal and get to bed, Bodyattack to teach tommorow with a head cold, NOT GOOD!!!!

Have been doing my rounds of the blogs and all the girls hat are so close to comp now are keping it together and going well, you are all amazing and I can't wait for some pics.
Hopefully I get to meet you all in July!!! YAY!!

It'll all be worth it! stay focus Shar, stay focussed!!

CALLING ALL FIGURE COMPETITORS............................

I don't know if this is 'normal behaviour' (probably not) and things will probably come and go from 'THE LIST', but I have had to start an 'after comp list' either bits I want to eat straight after, my favourites, or stuff I want the couple of days after.
Don't get me wrong, I am not fighting myself and wanting to give in now, just sometimes look at stuff and think oh that will be nice after comp!! for example .............

Peanut butter on toast!!!! *dreamy looking face, tastebuds watering*

and for sure with all the Easter talk and choc around, some of these babies will be in my comp bag for after..........

Cadbury's
Cream
Eggs

Also I have to go to KOKO BLACK!!! when I am in Melbourne and eat some of that devine high quality looking chocolate, does anyone want to volunteer to take me and perhaps join me for a choccie or two ;) (don't all rush at once!! :)

Anyway, enough thinking of food I'm not allowed and back focussing on the good stuff! I do feel so much better eaing clean. I don't get sluggish I'm not so tired, my skin is better etc etc.

Have a great weekend

I'm Back........... YAY!!!

HI All

Firstly, I would like to say Thank you for all your comments especially the ones asking where I am and stating that really I should be updating by now!! :) It is really nice to know people read!

So missing in action for a while, so update time it is!

General
I am currently working extra hours covering as Group Fitness Co-ordinator at our city club in Perth, alongside doing my own club n the northern suburbs.

I love the city club, it has such a different feel. My Bodyattack class there is great, I love the members.

Kids are all good, 'my boy' has started training with his footie club, he's so excited. Went out got his boots, shorts and socks and when we got back put them on and went out to the oval to have a kick about, how cute. Just his mouth guard to get fitted.

'my angel' is growing up fast and is more a little miniture me at the moment than a angel! :)

Comp Prep
So as you have probably gathered from the last few posts and lack of , I was waivering a litle in my commitment and my decision.

I faltered a couple of times and had to just sit, focus and make my decision.

'Sarge' wasn' impressed with me at one stage and I don't blame her at all!

BUT.......................
My decision was made. 16 weeks out, do or die??? and I am please dto say I choose DO!!!!!

16 weeks hit and I have been so focussed, I can hardly believe it myself!

Food is now fuel and not something that taste nice for 5 mins, my muscles NEED it, not my taste buds! Cardio (although I don't mind it) is something that has to be done to get the legs into the best condition my legs can be, which isn't great but I can but try.

Of course the change in diet and cardio came at 16 weeks out. I can truely say I have been working my arse off (lets hope so! LOL).

I am prepared with all my food, as displayed here,
my freezer draw.........................

eating all my meals, training very hard with hubby and cardio, well how much cardio can you do in a week!!????

Here is my cardio heaven!! one of our spare rooms, a treddie and a tele is all I need!

Anyway I do have a few more bits and pieces to tell you but have run out of time, bed is calling and I must get my sleep!
I will be back in the next few days to update again, no long gaps anymore!!

PS - Pepsi Max free for 7 weeks 1 day!

9 down - 131 to go!

HOW DO YA LIKE MY PATTIES!!!

Was so impressed with myself I just had to show you!!
One of my meals right now is Chicken, Sweet Pot and Brocolli.
Not a lover of anything green looking!!! and have been eating the
above as per normal cooking methods for 8 days now, so wanted
to try something different.
So whilst doing my weekly mass cook up of all my meals, I thought
I would experiment with that one meal.
So weighed up all the individual portions and one at a time
(very time consuming) popped it in the blender. Scopped it all
out and made some patties.
Added herbs and spices and voila!
Warmed up in the oven, they are delish!!!

So update needed I guess?

I have been with Sam since Jan now. Been training hard no probs
there, but I didn't quite get my mojo back with diet since coming
home from the UK.

So desparate measures were required, well not really desparate,
but I was sure feeling desparate.
So we increased my comp prep from 16 weeks to 20 weeks and
will take it a little slower. I needed this to pull my focus back.
I am pleased to report I have now been in comp prep with Sam
leading me along for 9 days now.
Have stuck to my plan, both diet and exercise. A couple of days
I didn't eat all my meals and got a slap on the hand but I have
gotten back up to all meals per day.

I haven't had a pepsi max for 20 days!! I feel in control of that now
and will perhaps allow myself one on a Sunday if I make it through
the weekend on track, weekends are terrible for me a real mental test
for me with regards to food.

So what else has been going on?

SAM came to my Bodyattack Launch on Monday!! Was great to see her there. She was the one armed Bodyattacker, in a nice way - it was funny!

I must say as the week has gone on and I have taught the whole release a good 4 times, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. If you normally do Bodyattack you will love it, just give it a couple of classes.
If you don't normally do it and you want some HIT, then get your butts in to a class and prepare to be challenged! Don't be scared off though, if you get a good instructor they should always give lower options to allow you to reduce intensity and work at your own level to complete the whole class.

I wen tto my first AFL match last weekend!!! My dad and Hubby surprised me, got a friend to have ou little girl and we all wen tto the footie!!
The Eagles and Dockers played in the NAB cup at Subiaco here in Perth.
I have loved the ottie since we first arrived, I appreciate the physical side of the players and find the speed of the game very engaging and I must say I JUST LOVED GOING TO THE MATCH!! I am hooked for sure.

We have signed 'My boy' up to the local club, can't wait to get involved with that! He is very lucky with regards to sport. He can turn his hand to anything. A very good sprinter AND endurance runner! I think he will excel at footie once he is coached in the technique of playing.

I have no idea about Melbourne and its surrounds, but my hubby and I are looking forward to the comp so if anyone reading can advise on somewhere to stay that is central for after comp but with easy access to the Camberwell Centre for the comp please can you let me know, I will start to ponder on flghts and accomodation soon I think.

Well, a rather long post for me!! Thanks for reading.

Hope you are all well

Time flies when you having fun!

Hi all

So sorry for the lack of posting.

No excuses, honesty is the best policy (reading Lia's open and honest post helped), I have just been struggling a bit with various mind games I play with myself.

Had to have a few weeks to gather my thoughts, process my feelings about this journey I want to set out on and check it is really for me.

So here I am, I have offically started my comp prep, a little earlier than planned, 4 weeks extra to be precise.

I had lost control a little a couple of weeks back and needed to be reigned in. The fantasic 'Sarge' seems to have done just that.

So all good in Shar world right now and I will update regularly from here on in.

I have two weeks food prepared, weights sessions are still going well with my hubby and all exericse is planned.

I have a very busy week coming up, we have to launch all the new releases for Group Fitness. My first one being Bodyattack tomorrow night and another launch on Thursday, Bodybalance
tomorrow night, tuesday morning and wednesday morning.

Payroll to do tomorrow, a big new internal audit at work on Thursday, a meeting somtime this wek yet to be confirmed, demo's for FF all next weekend, the list goes on, but I like being busy, I just have to be careful not to get stressed and worked up.

OH yeah!!!!!!!!!

.....................' My names Sharleen and I'm a recovering Pepsi Max addict'

YES YOU READ RIGHT!! I haven't had a PM for 12 days, not one, zero, zilch......I just did it and went cold turkey.
So all good on the PM front and saving myself some cash not buying them anymore!

OK peeps, must go to bed, cardio first thing!

This won't be a long one and I hope to be back to blogging regularly asap.

I'm just having what I would call 'a moment', except it is 'a moment' that
has lasted a week or so.

I have still been reading everyone else's blogs and love to keep up to
date with you all.

Back soon. . . . . . . . . . REMEMBER . . . . . . . .

Di - You were right!!!................................

My first training session with the 'Personal Trainer', my hubby, took place Thursday, chest and shoulders as prescribed by Sam.

Di was soooooo right, training with your partner or hubby can be hard, it took all my might not to cry, scream, shout etc etc, before we started I was told to 'just get on with it'. BUT guess who cannot move her arms in any direction due to my chest being soooooo sore!

I also just did legs, about 4 hours ago and I am so in trouble, soreness starting to creep in already.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE! He is now book all the way through to comp!, no questions, training that hard will surely bring results???????????

Have been e mailing with 'SARGE' about various things, one being an addiction I have - sorry, correction, HAD. Please don't gasp in amazement when I tell you !!

This is the honest truth, I was/am addicted to Pepsi Max (PM), drinking around 8 cans per day was normal!
I know, I know, although no sugar, BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD...... I don't drink it because I'm thirsty, I drink 4 litres of water a day for thirst reasons, I drink it due to being addicted to the caffiene and have formed a habit.

So i have been down to 3 per day for the first three weeks and then came the instruction from 'SARGE' to have a maximum of ONE if any!

So this week I thought, lets just kick this no nutritional value, carbonated, coloured, sweetened shit to the curb and try for none but worse case go ONE.

Well, one a day all week, and as yet I haven't had today's BUT headaches, tirdness, craving - pardon the pun - TO THE MAX!!!!!!!! I might see if I can go into PM re-hab! :)

This is a long term habit that was formed about 4 years ago when I did my 'drink diet fizzy drink to fill me up and don't eat' diet, I'm sure you must have heard of it?? Well it worked I drop about 3 stone (19kg?) and of course long term it went back on. I have since carried on drinking it, have had periods where it wasn't as much but before my trip home and whilst we were there I have been drinking about 7-8 per day.

So to sum up I am chuffed I have made it to 1 per day, I'll see if a couple of days next wek I can make it without and weeeeeeeen myself off of the HARD CORE PM.

Anyway, thats about it for now will update soon, with how limited my walking is after todays leg session!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you are all well, have a great weekend, I'll be spending mine with my gorgeous husband and kids, down the beach, Perth is sooo hot right now.

As always THANKS for the comments!

Me/Training/Food/ 'SARGE'

OOOUUCCHHHH what’s that I can feel????
Oh it’s RAE on my back!! Hee hee!

About time someone kicked my butt for another post!!

Especially after asking for you to all to get on my back!

So three weeks done, BUT I must be totally honest in saying

I have been about 80% with food, the lost 20% being a free
meal each week, that has continue to a free meal, with dessert
and then a little something else etc etc.

About 90% with my weights, the lost 10% being intensity
of training! When I teach my Group Fitness Classes,
especially Bodyattack, I ALWAYS give EVERYTHING I HAVE,
no backing out, no taking it easy, I’m there to get
everyone else through it and I give them all I have, but with
my weights it’s seems to be a different story, when I could
do a couple more reps, perhaps I just do one etc so I really
need to pick up my intensity and ooommpphh.

So along with Rae on my back in comment world I have my coach,
master, oh wise one, there for guidance………. And guide me she has.
I have my new food plan and a few dates to commit to and this
should help.

I have decided to call her ‘SARGE’ and it is the fabulous, most
gorgeous SAM I AM!!!!! (Sam D-M)

Yay!! I am so excited that Sam decided to take me on and I
have no doubt if I do as I’m told she will get me there in July!

So I have 8 weeks left until I start my prep stage for the comp,
'SARGE' is helping me get a handle on the free meals, (which
will end soon anyway) and I have decided to hire a trainer to
push my harder with my weights.

So that job falls to the best Personal Trainer in the world – MY
HUBBY!!
I had a chat with him and he basically told me that if I really
want this I need to get real, shut up, don’t winge, don’t give
him grief and do as I’m told, then he will train me!
Oh thanks hunny! Love you too! :)
Actually sounds a bit like Sam, sorry, SARGE, will be when
the going gets tough at 16 weeks out!! NO CRAP and do
as I say!

I SOOOOO CAN’T WAIT!

So that’s me right now, a rise in intensity of training, a little
more control on the food and just keep plodding along for now.

Hope you are all well, I click through the blogs daily so keep
updating and THANKS sooooooooooo much for the comments,
I love em.

Speak sooner rather than later this week! I promise.

This is it - I NEED YOU!!

I need you on my back..................................

Not one to be happy with what I achieved for myself before I went home to the UK, oh no, the bar has to be raised and I have to have a target, a goal, a challenge......................

so I have made the decision, with initial guidance from my old 'boss lady', Sue at IBO, to try my hand at competing this year in NOVICE FIGURE!!!

I have a lot of work to do, but I feel I need something more and this will be it.

I wanted to enter the WA State All Female comp but there isn't to be one this year, so that leaves me All Females in Melbourne, July, or WA States in October.

Having hired someone to set down the law, tell me my training and tell me my nutrition plan I am heading on this long, painful but rewarding journey to July.

She goes by the name of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _???????????

Lets play guess who!!??? :) Let me know who you think? I have yet to decide on her blog name........................

So I need you all on my back, this is going to be one tough challenge for me but I have nothing to lose and a huge amount to gain!

I have around eight weeks before I start my comp prep, am weight training hard and trying to eat to plan! I will be blogging about my progress etc.

So that's about all my news apart from the kids are my angels, my husband is just the best thing and I'm working hard right now.

Hope you are all well

UK HOLIDAY - Part 2

Hi All,
Thanks for all the comments, I love em.

So what else happen whilst we were away??????????

The first week was pretty much spent just staring at each other!!! No not really!! but it was hard to believe we were actually there and that I could hug my mum after 2 whole years etc etc.

We made sure we saaw all close family again in the first few days as the Airport expadition was just crazey and we didnt really catch up properly.

Then we had a birthday party for Maddi who was 3 a couple of days before we left to go back. I love having tea parties!! We had buffet style food, her cake and games!

Maddi doing
cheesy smile
in her fairy
dress she got

We went to the well known Santas Grotto as posted whilst I was away, she loved it there.
Beyce was taken Bowling, the movies a couple of times, we went to a huge indoor adventure play area (had to do stuff inside it was freezing!) and
guess what?

ALL MY FAMILY WENT TO THE BEACH ON CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!

It was raining,
no sorry, drizzling,
cold, windy but
I was with the
ones I love so

tended to forget
all that until
I saw this pic!
Not a touch on my fav
beach here in Perth -
Trigg.

We had a party on Chrissie eve, both families and friens all round to my in-laws, food AGAIN!!!!!! (everything social has food involved, no wonder I came back wih an extra few kilos!)

We had games going, music, drinks and lots of excitment with kids about as you can imagine.
Maddi got hold of the camera and snapped me and Alfie the black lab pup! hes sooooo gorgeous, his tongue in my ear wasn't though!!

Me and Alfie

Paul and I got to go out on our wedding anniversary, we had a gorgeous meal, a couple of bottles of wine and babysitters!!! we don't get out alot here in Oz as we only have my real dad here, in fact we have probably only been out twice in 2 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAD!!!

Anyway we did lots of other stuff but mainly spent time with family which is what it was all about!

Back to work and in full swing now, teaching, co-ordinating etc, actually had some bad news when I got back in that my club is closing! Fitness First took it on a 6 month lease after the previous gym went into receivership, the directors for various reasons have decided not to pursue it and drive the money into another 2 clubs to open around Perth this year.
One of my collegues has resigned a day before we found out, so unfortunately we lose her (I love her, great instructor and GFC) but I get a transfer to that club, so good for me, alot closer to home.

Focusing hard on my new goals for this year and will update you with all of that soon.

Have a great weekend, (Perthies - enjoy the glorious weather!)

My Trip to the UK

Hi all

So we have been back nearly a week now and it has taken us that long to get our sleeping and eating patterns back to normal!
My boy got himself sorted pretty much straight away with just 1 early morning the day after we landed back in Perth, my little girl on the other hand had her first full nights sleep for the first time on Wednesday night, she was waking up hungry and wide awake at around 2am, this then became 3am, then 4 am until gradually her bodyclock re-set to Oz time and slept through.
Paul and I are still a little off, feeling quite tired at around 4pm and wide awake at midnight!

Anyway, the trip itself was fntastic, to see my family again was great. My new neice is just gorgeous and after about a week she would recognise me when I walked into the room, or called her name etc.
Here is a picture of us playing ........

The plane over there was as OK as it can be with a just 3 year old! My plan of the flight times working in with sleep worked.
The flight to Singapore was 4 1/2 hours and we just played, did colouring, did drawing, play dough etc etc had lots of little pressie that we gave her in times of need!
Then we had 2 hours at singapore airport as our flight got delayed an hour, so we just walked around, stretch our legs, got Maddi's PJ's on and onto the long 14 hour flight to the UK.
As soon as you are settled into the flight they serve a meal up, so we had that and then Maddi was so tired she just zonked! she slept for 7 hours!!!! YAY! then we played a little, she watch some cartoons etc and then they served breakfast. So all in all OK, sometimes hard to keep her attention.
Heres a pic of her doing her fake smile, opening one of the little pressies on the plane..............................

My boy, Bryce, who is in the background was just superb on the plane, he didn't once moan, never got fidgety etc, what a star!

When we arrived at Heathrow we were just expecting my Step-Dad to pick us up as we needed the room in the car for us and our luggage, my mum told me she was working and would see us in Norfolk when we had done the 2 1/2 hour drive, my sis said she would be waiting at my nans for when we arrived there etc etc, everyone had an excuse!
So as the arrivals door opened, I spotted my Step-Dad standing there, her then started to walk quickly to the right hand side, I thought he was comming to greet us past the barrier thingy and then he stopped ............... and stood with EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!! The whole bloody family were there, mine and Pauls! My sis, my neice, my mum, EVERYONE!!
They had gotten a mini-bus. I just burst out crying and my legs froze, it was so good to see their faces in person!
WHAT A WAY TO START OUR VISIT..................................

More to come...................
