IT IS FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All

I cannot remember it being this cold!!!
My face nearly froze this morning! We went for a walk to the local park (which may I add is slightly different from Carine Open Sapce in Perth!) to feed the ducks and I almost lost use of my mouth, I'm sure I must have been dribbling like you do when you have a numb face after the dentist!

My little girl had her lovely pink fluffy coat on, gloves hat etc, new trainers and went head over heels into a big muddy puddle! ARRRGGGHHHHH!

So what have we been doing, apart from being wide awake at 3am.......................

I have been spending time with close family, caught up with all family, seen my bestest friends Katie and Tanya, looked after my baby neice Lauren who is just gorgeous!!!, had a birthday party for Maddison, been to see Santa, had a chinese!!! (not important but its my favourite chinese, just can't find one like it in Oz), been to the gym..... EVERY day!! doing lots of classes and running, got alot planned for end of this week and next week, including a night out with my hubby for our anniversary.

Here is a picture of the day we went to see Santa in the big grotto display.

I will be back soon with no doubt another update and a few more pics.

I hope you are all well and getting ready for Christmas and to those in Oz, enjoy the sunshine!!

representation of how I am looking right now.
10 weeks of hard work and eating clean.

I will now continue on and have exciting times ahead in a few areas of
my life, work and personal so am really looking forward to have a great
break in the UK ( a very active one mind you!!, got a gym lined up for

The best thing to come out of this is the fact that I wanted to
become a confident and contented person in all areas of my life.

I can say I haven't just changed in 10 weeks, but I have had a
definate mind shift and I know for fact I will not waste another
year like i did this one, fighting the battle with myself!

Believe in yourself and all that you are.

Know that there is something inside you
greater than any obstacle.

Days 57 - 64 - 9 weeks done

WHERE IS THE TIME GOING?????????

9 weeks completed............

and its still coming off!!! slowing down now but still getting losses.

This weeks loss - 0.7kg
Total loss in 9 weeks - 8.8kg yay!

(getting told now not to lose anymore!! What!?, my butt is still huge!) :)

This was quite pleasing to me as I had boobs full of fluid and puffy legs from the monthly curse!

So my aim was 9kg........ 0.2kg to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would love to hit 10kg!! 1.2kg to do in 2 weeks?

I have really been pushing hard this last week, extra running, weights 3 times this week and normal classes.

My legs are just the worst at shaping up, each time I have lost weight I swear by running and I swear that it is the only thing (along with weights of course) that helps to trim my legs up.

I will weigh on Saturday for final post of this journey as the following Saturday I will be a little to busy to post the result so I may just give a last update on the Friday.

I will measure this week and hope to have hubby do a few pictures so I can post them, along with the dreaded before shots of course!!!

Did I mention why I would be busy?????????? :)

I am not only eating my own hands with excitement now I have had to move to my feet!!!!!

12 sleeps to go...........

I had my Les Mills quarerly training this weekend and I just love the new Bodyattack and Bodybalance they are great releases!! I also start to teach Bodystep in the New year!! Don't think I posted that I passed my training?

So we are launching the new classes all this weekend coming, so choreography flying around in my head, we normally get a week to learn it but, o not this time, lets just do a week, why not add to Sharleesn pressure and make it the busiest two weeks of my entire life, :) :)

PRESSURE - some people fold, some people rise!!!
I WILL RISE !!!!! OH YES I WILL!!

Anyway enough of my rambling!! busy week and weekend ahead with work, lot of packing, sorting, arranging, foot and perhaps arm eating and somehwere in there I hope also to meet 'Sam in sling' this weekend for a coffee.

Hope you all had a good weekend

Days 49 - 56 - 8 weeks done

HI all

I hope you are having a good week.

Thanks for your comment in regards to my last post, nice to have the feedback and to know that I am normal in what I fel sometimes as others feel that way too!

Anyway, I forgot to give you my weekly check in, it's nearly round to another one. Although I do not expect a drop this week as Boobs are back to swollen state and I am holding lots of water due to the monthly horrors approaching.

So end of week 8, trained extra hard last week, lots of runs (5), normal classes taught and 4 weights sessions.

Weekly loss - 0.7kg
Total loss after 8 weeks - 8.1kg

Scales slowing down but inches are still coming off, will measure this weekend and post losses.

17 SLEEPS!!!!! I am so excited i'm eating my own hand!!!! will have to peck at the keyboard like Sam!!

I'll check in soon with this weeks progress! Quarterly Workshops (Les Mills)this weekend though so busy busy busy.

Have a good remainder of the week and weekend.

Do You Truely Believe You Can?

Firstly I would like to say thanks for the
comments girlies!

Hilary - Thanks for always congratulating me when I do my weekly update!! I always stay up to date with you via blogland. Just read your latest post, re: Bodyattack, you just cannot beat it for some high intensity cardio can you? I love teaching it, I love how strong and powerful the moves are and then throw in the old school aerobics feel, what more could you want? I may be a little biased?

Amy - Thanks for your encouragement! Your going well at the moment too! I read about your wonderful trip!! You must be sooooooooo excited.

Magda - thanks for dropping by. I am going well at the moment but it has just been a hard time getting to the point where I just put my head down and did it! Thanks for reading my post from the 27th, I was having a funny day that day and it di help to get my feelings out! I'm glad it helped, go back and read it when you 'need' to.

mvn4wrd - thanks for reading my blog and commenting, glad the above mentioned post help you too.

Arna - thanks for the song!! it made me sing it and smile. It is getting tough as I am pretty much down to the last few kilos, but, I will keep pushing as everyday I feel better, better with how I look, better with how I feel and my vision of how I see things has changed for the better.

Yes my trip is approaching and I can't explain how much I have missed my mum, step dad and sister over the past two years, sometimes it has hurt so bad I just cried, BUT I have 4 whole weeks with them and my new baby neice! I will make the most of EVERY DAY!! then I plan to have mum out here next year so it will never be that long between visits again.

ANYWAY, to my title today............

Having gotten your comments and especially in relation to Magdas. ALL YEAR, from Jan 2nd 2006 (couldn't start 'diet' on Jan 1st as it's a public holiday and sadly to me that used to signify 'nice' food, oh how my relationship with food has changed!) there were hard days,

  • there are days I questioned whether I should should give it all up and stay overweight,
  • there were days after my operation and the second operation I wondered whether I would get back to intense exercise,
  • there were days I just 'couldn't be bothered',
  • there were days I got mad with how society could judge 'fat' people and just wanted everyone to be fat,
  • there were days I would catch people judge me for how I looked (I was 10kg overweight but my profession does not seem to sympathise whatever the amount)
  • there were days 'I didn't believe I could'
  • there were days I felt like the crappiest mum because I was so consumed by me and how I felt
  • There were numerous other feelings, too many to list.

I spent all year 'fighting' until i made a decision, same as all the other decisions this year, to eat clean, exericse and finally put all the demons to rest, but, the difference this time was.....

I HAD TO TRUELY BELIEVE I COULD DO IT , nothing can take your belief away, not a single person, not a peice of food, you have to believe that you can reach your end goals, if something sways you, the belief has to be there to get you back on track, if something 'ruins' your plan for the week, you have to have the belief that this won't ruin the rest of the week, you have to beleive you are in control.

Sorry to ramble but just wanted to get this down so perhaps if 1 person ust can't seem to find the belief right now, maybe it will come, because you have to know when I say the old cliche

IF I CAN DO IT, YOU CAN I so mean it, i have had my ups and downs, struggles etc and I do truley believe that we can achieve, but we have to want it and believe it deep down.

Anyway, I will be back over the weekend with my weekly update on weight, food and exercise.

Here's hoping for a good one!

Have a great weekend all,

SHAR X

Days 43 - 49 / 7 weeks down

I just cannot believe how my body is responding now, daily changes occuring.

So pleased with this weeks result! ..........

Weekly loss - 1.0kg
Total loss for 7 weeks - 7.4kg

I have 4 weeks until I go home to the UK and although that was my original target to lose for (also so I could be and feel happy about how I looked and felt) I do feel now I have crossed the line and it is more about reshaping my body, eating well and feeling in control, than losing 'WEIGHT'.

Ideally I would drop a little more on the scales but hey the jeans I wore when I left the UK fit me again, my arms and shoulders have shape, my abs are starting to show, I feel strong and my confidence is getting better again.

I have been training hard and eating well so will continue on the same path and see what happens.

I was at a bad point there for a long while, most of the year in fact, no control, no dedication, couldn't summons the energy or the inclination to do this and the weight was creeping on not to mention some of the other stuff that happens when you are not in control and your body is just not at a good place.
I was worried there for a while that it was going to creep all the way back on.

Luckily I have gained control.

I have a whole new outlook and a whole new set of goals and aspirations for the coming year, I feel excited again and 'ALIVE'.

OTHER STUFF

Hubby's first week oficially in his new job, all good there.

Bryce has in-term swimming for 2 whole weeks and is going well so far.

Maddi is being Maddi, hard work and demanding but hey, thats kids for you! she is just a litlle darling most of the time so can't complain.

27 DAYS til we leave for Christmas in the UK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am already not sleeping due to the excitment, I don't mean I can't get to sleep, I wake up from a sleep thinking about it etc then I just can't clear my head!!

ARRGGHHHHH!!!! I hate losing sleep, I NEED SLEEP!

Anyway no more news, hope you are all well.

Thanks to those who comment, I love reciving them, I'm actively trying to return the favour by commenting, if you can all take the time to let us in on your life, then I surely can find time to comment?

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

Days 36 - 42 - 6 weeks down

Well well..... last weeks little loss must have been the impending period just as I thought.

This week I dropped another 1.6 kg
Total loss for 6 weeks - 6.4kg

Going well and really trying to pick it up a bit now as I'm sure I'm gonna start plateau-ing soon! People have been commenting this week, almost like there was a switch and my body has just instantly changed shape! YAY, feeling good.
I am so pissed at myself though for messing about playing mind games with myself, basically all year! What a waste, all that energy. We live, we learn! No more messing, no more wasted time, lifes to short.

Was sick at the beginning of the week with a bad stomach but soon back into it, 2 weights sessions in, a 45 min run along the beautiful coast path from North Beach to Hilary's and back and taught Bodyattack and Bodybalance as usual.
My week starts on a Sunday so have already got 1 Bodyattack, 1 Bodybalance and a run on the board.

Other stuff

4 weeks 5 days until the UK!!!!!!! I am peeing my pants already!! I'm soooooooo excited.

Fitness First had a 'Party in the Park' to celebrate our 6th club in WA (the one I'm GFC at) on Saturday, the purpose as to promote a active and healthy lifestyle to the community, everyhing was free, lots of kids stuff - face painting, mini bootcamp, Perth Glory Soccer, Group Fitness Demos (I did Bodybalance on the Foreshore! it was fab), mini tennis, salsa demos, bouncy castles, etc etc.
The weather was fab, the staff were all pump and did well to last all day in the heat and people that came along seemed to enjoy it.

Pic of me and Maddi (she wanted a FF singlet on !)
before I left to go set up.

Hubby has offically started his PTC position! Going well and he starts on his own properly this week.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the results from the bloggers that were at the National this weekend. I find it so inspirational that people have the dedication to train to get up there on stage.

Well thats about it from me, have a great week,

Days 29 - 35 / 5 weeks down

Hey to all that drop by,

Well this week has been ne of my best weeks for food and exercise!!

So a tad dissapointed when I get on the scales for my weekly weigh in and it tells me
0.4kg loss!!

Yes I can hear some of you saying, 'it's still a loss', agreed and I am greatful it is still dropping BUT I have worked so hard this week.

Going by the size of my 'bossum' and severe pain there , I would say my period is imminent. If my boobs have swollen then I must be holding fluid elsewhere?

Anyway perhaps it will all pay off next week?

Weekly loss - 0.4kg
Total loss for 5 weeks - 4.8kg

Other stuff

6 week today until I get on the plane to the UK!!! I hate planes, but I'm so looking forward to getting on this one!

My sis is getting excited!, e mails to tell me how long it is etc.

I have been doing my BODYSTEP training today and have another full on day tomorow including our presentation and assessment! ARRRRGHHHHH!!

Will let you know how I go.

OMG!! How could I forget! Guess what?

WHAT I HEAR YOU CRY!!!

My hubby went for an interview last week to become a PTC (Personal Training Co-ordinator) with Fitness First, we heard on Thursday that someone internal had gotten the club that had the position, but of course that left that club open and my bestest boy got the offer!!! YAY!

He took it and now has a permanent, Part time (30 hours) position, the few less hour than full time will allow him to stay active in his personal training so great news all round. WELL DONE HUBBY!

Kids are fine, my little one is getting excited about going on the plane! she thinks that those that have visited us here in Oz and that we have aken back to the airport to go home on the plane are still on the plane!! isn't that just cute, funny how their minds work!
I pity my sis, if we go on my bubs theory, she's been up there flying around for a year, gone through the last 5 months of her pregnancy and given birth up there! :)

No more news for now, other than to say WELL DONE TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HAD COMPS RECENTLY AND GOOD LUCK FOR THE NATIONALS & NO!!
I love reading all about your journeys and your blogs are so inspiring, I hope to be there myself 'one day'.

Have a great weekend and good start to the week.

I LOVE

A view accross the
Swan River, looking
at the city.

The club that
I am GFC at
with Fitness
First has pretty
much got this view! I went for a run around the river on Monday before I taught my Bodybalance class, it was a fantastic day and such a relaxing run! (if thats possible!).

Going well this week, all exercise on track, personal training session this morning for my weights! Food 100%. I think they call it - On a Roll............ lets hope I don't hit a hill!!

Little loss, better than nothing? Days 14 - 21

Hey all

Just a quick update as I am a little sick again, bloody throat infection this time.

Anyway week 3 done and a loss of 1/2 a kilo. so all up 3.4kg total for the first 3 weeks.

Not bad considering I fell off for the day last weekend! also have been sick so only got in a few cardios and 1 weights session.

Good news though - I am now having 2 personal training sessions a week (with Hubby!) to make sure I do at least 2 weights per week. Had one on Tuesday and my butt was soooooooo sore, bloody squats and walking lunges.

Anyway only 9.30pm and I'm off to bed, two classes to get through in the morning.

See ya soon

Week 2 - DONE! Days 8-14

Hi All

Just want to say a Big Thanks to all who commented, its great to receive comments and I must start logging in more so I comment back!! not just read everyones blogs!

Arnajade - Your right I can definately lose this 9kg!! Feeling a little stronger everyday I get through! Thanks

Rebecca - Yes we can!! Keep pushing and we will make it hey!

Carolyn - You have done soooo well, 21kgs is fantastic!! Keep pushing on.

Rene - Yes, I know that I have done it before so I do know I can do it, I can be so energy zapping sometimes if you don't stay focussed and you let negative energy around you bring you down. All good now.

Hey CJ - I did hang in there and got through the week just fine! Thanks

Hilds - Thanks Hilds I have been doing the day to day thing and it has helped me this time round, focussing on just getting through one day isn't as big a task as a week.

Anyway.............

Weigh day was Saturday - 1.2kg lost!!!! YAY

Total so far - 2.9kg, clothes feeling a little difference, lost the bloaty flat look, feeling great.

I have taught 7 Bodyattacks this week so that well and truly took care of my cardio, although I did manage to throw in 2 powerwalks pushing Maddi in her baby jogger.
3 bodybalance classes, so that takes care of alot of things! Flexibilty, mobility, definately my Core strength training and my relaxation!!

My only down fall is I still have to introduce my weights in, that is my aim this week without fail!! so thats what I need to be reporting on.

Had a great week this week. My son Bryce just keeps blowing us away!! He won his 200m at schools sports day the other week and came second in the 75m sprint so he got choosen to represent the school for the INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL, 8 schools go and compete.

200m isn't really his thing but he ran so hard, bless him and got third!!

75m Sprint is more his race, he got 5th last year and was disapointed in himself! he didn't really take in that he was now against the best from each school, I did all the 'its the taking part' talk etc.

Anyway, this year, bang goes the gun, my hearts pumping so hard I think I might pass out, I remember how sick I used to feel when competeing in stuff!!

Hes running his little 10 year old legs off, as he approaches he looks to be in third!!!!
I start going crazy!! shouting and jumping up and down etc (I had Bryce very young, therefore I'm alot younger than alot of the other mums and they all appear to be quite reserved!!)
then he must have heard me or found something else as he just gave more and came 1ST!!!!!!!

He was so chuffed!, it is the taking part, but dam, its good when they win!!! :)

Sorry for that rather long
and probably boring for
some, proud mum moment !!

Here is a picture of Bryce
and Maddi on the day,
Bryce is holding his
First place ribbon up!!

Anyway, thats my news for this week!

Have a great week and I will try and post mis week and again when I have gotten through this next week! Hopefully with another success on the scales!

Have a great long weekend!

One of those days!

Hi All

I have had one of those days when I could have easily just eaten my way out of feeling crap!! BUT would have ended up feeling Crapper!! Do you know what I mean?

I am a pretty confident and strong person in certain areas of my life.

I am raising two children that are a true gift to me, I have the FULL help and support of my gorgeous hubby and although I feel the strain of being a Mum sometimes, the good outweighs the testing times. This is one area I feel confident and strong in, my love for my Children and Husband is unconditional and no matter what I will ALWAYS put them first.

The other area I feel confident and strong in is my choosen career. I always put myself out for others I work with, I always give 100% to each and every class I teach, I am passionate about what I do and helping people to enjoy exercise and change there exercise experience for the better.

The one area that I feel drains me more than anything and is such a waste of my time, is worrying constantly about how I feel, look and how I am perceived, not only to others but more to myself.

For those who are reading and don't know my history I have been up 100kg and down to 55kg no once but TWICE!

Here is the 100kg picture !!!
ARGHHHHHH!!

I can't believe I'm posting this!!!
This is around 5 years ago now.

With alot of hard training, eating right I managed to get down to this.........

Since this photo I have gained 9kgs!

I cannot explain how dissapointed I am in
Myself!

But the thing I am most dissapointed
about is the fact that I gained this last year
and I have spent ALL OF THIS YEAR
trying to get rid of it!!

MY GOD ! can lose 45kg but I can't get
my head right to lose 9kgs? what is that all about!?

Anyway the reason for all of my ramblings above is that fact that today I can say I am NO WAY, NEVER, EVER going to waste my time, my emotions, all of my effort on worrying about whether I can do this, whether I can lose 9kgs, whether I can feel confident in myself and how I look.

I have 'started again' too many times, I have said 'this time i'm gonna do it' too many times.

I cannot afford to waste any more time making excuses!! I have to get there and I have to enjoy life.

I am feeling very powerful and strong today which is why I have written this blog, I am truly focussed at the moment, my training is going well, I am eating clean and I feel unstoppable. I cannot honestly say that in all my other 'attempts' this year I have never felt this way.

I am going to seize this moment and continue to push on.

'A ship in the harbor is safe. But that's not what ships are built for.'

Navigating your ship

Taking the easy way out is, well, easy. Human beings naturally stick with their normal routines because they offer feelings of security. But by staying in the same routine, you miss out on new opportunities.

If you are waiting around for your goals to just fall into your lap, it could take awhile. But your goals are achievable- if you're willing to break from the norm and cast your ship down uncharted waters.

My aim, my goal, is not only to lose the 9kg that seems to be holding me back, but more importantly to be CONFIDENT and STRONG in all areas of my life, so I can raise Confident and Strong children.

Thanks for listening

Just a few words........

What we can learn from our path to the present?

Often in moments of discouragement or depression, it's easy to feel that your life is going nowhere or that change is impossible. But it's simply not true!
Take a minute to think back over your life.
Chances are, you'll see a lot of growth in all of your formative areas. From childish playing, to youthful impulsiveness and adult reasoning, life sure has taken you on a rollercoaster hasn't it? When you were young, someone probably asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up. If someone posed that same question to you now, what would you say?
Let this reflection be an indicator of your dreams

DAY 3 - DONE

Day 3 - All done for another day

I must say I'm getting used to this 5 minute blog writing thing - EVERYDAY!! Although it takes me a good 30 -45 mins to get hrough everyone elses blogs!

Cardio - None today!! 'NO CARDIO' I hear your cry! thats right, no cardio today, for the pure fact I have a double Bodyattack again tomorrow! 7.30am - New chorie launch and then a drive to another club to cover the 9.30am. I have a crazy week this week a total of 8 Bodyattacks! too many but all i a good cause - Launches and covers.

Weights - Taught Bodypump this morning. I also have sore Triceps from training on Wednesday!

Food - 100% clean! Allowed my carb portions to increase slightly due to tomorrows madness and the energy I need to do two in a row.

General day to day stuff - Had to go and pick Maddison up early from day care today as she was sick! poor little thing, very hot and then was sick another two times when I got her home. Sound asleep now though, will do her good.

Nothing planned for the weekend apart from a few extra classes. Will have a house tidy up on Sunday arvo, feel like I need a clean out.

Hope you all have a great weekend and thanks to those who left me comments.

Anyway. . . . . . . . . . .

Going well!

Hi Again

A bit impressed with myself today as this is my second blog of the week!!

OK, so all has been great this week, eating has been a breeze and exercise is going well too.

Tuesday
I had a pilates to teach and a Bodyattack.
Also went for a stady run, 6.5km.

Wednesday
I taught a Bodyattack and a Bodybalance
Then back again in the evening for Bodybalance.

Today
I have 2 tonight, Bodybalance then Bodyattack.
I have been and done my run, a Hills Session, felt hard, legs felt like lead.
I think I will have a nana nap in a minute as my little girl is having her arvo sleep so I should get a rest really, seeing as I have to do the 'crazy' class tonight!

Work is going well, although I seem to have no time whatsoever spare. Oh well, loving it so all good.

When I do get the odd half an hour I have been spending it, doing some goal setting, writing down my aims for the next year or so and just focusing on where I'm going.

It is a great motivational tool, aswell as helping you to stay focused and look ahead with some passion and drive, rather than plodding along.

Have a great few days, I'll be back soon, keep reading and great to get your comments.

One person working toward a dream is worth 99 people just working.

The power of having a dream and vision.

We've all worked with people who just show up to fill space.
Uninspired and stuck going through the motions, they pick up a paycheck on Monday and wait for Friday.
Some are just killing time until retirement. Maybe you even find yourself in this mindset. Not a very satisfying way to spend your days is it? Sounds like an easy life—except that in life, retirement can be permanent and unexpected.
In your life, are you actively heading straight for your goals, or are you puttering around vaguely? Nothing is wrong with hard work; determination and elbow grease are what make the best dreams possible. But it's interesting that most work makes us look downward, while dreams lift our eyes to the sky. While you're keeping that nose to the grindstone, make sure you keep your head up to see where you're going.

Back from Hols!

Back from my break away with the In-laws. We had the most gorgeous cottage in the most wonderful setting!

Had a nice rest, did a few runs, chilled out and watched a few DVD's, had no mobile phone coverage so couldn't get caught up in work!

Back to work today and am still loving it.

Classes taught today = Pilates

Other Exercise for Today = 6.5km Run (in the pouring rain!!)
Weights

Food for today = Very clean but not enough! (opps)

End of another week!

Hi All

So another week has past and I have been excitedly awaiting Sue's comp and the photo's.
I must say she looks FAB!!!! Such an inspiration to many!! WELL DONE SUE!!

So my week does not slow down at the weekend, infact I did 5 classes this weekendalone!

I am just adoring my two programmes now, I feel content that I have found two I can continue to grow in.
Everytime I teach Bodybalance I feel calm but strong and the benefits from this class are immense especially if you train in the gym or are always doing 'Ra Ra Ra' stuff!

Everytime I teach Bodyattack I feel alive!! it is so intense but enjoyable, great music combined with simple athletic moves.

Anyway feeling a little tired now and no wonder hey!! Lots going on right now. In-laws here from the UK, preparation for my classes, teaching my classes, doing my new GFC role, my IBO work and being a MUM.

Have had time to do a couple of runs this week. Food hasn't been spot on but trying to stay as close to the line as possible!! This is my area to focus on this week!

We go away for 4 days this week, down to Karri Valley, great place to chill and relax, CAN'T WAIT.

I hope you are all going well

Will post when I get back.

New Look BLOG, new reports!

Hi All

Have changed my template to reflect the fact that I will now be focussing on just blogging in a general manner without to much emphasis on JUST 12 WEEKS!!!

I have to start looking beyond the 12 weeks and have got a few longer term goals in mind.

I have now started my GFC posisiton and absolutley love doing this job. I can't wait for FF to open the next two clubs in WA!! Perhaps I can get a permanent position!

I am now teaching around 12 classes a week and the proportion of different programmes I teach has decreased, pretty much I now only teach Bodyattack and Bodybalance (pre-choreographed) and Pilates.

I absolutely LOVE and ADORE Bodyattack. A tough programme to teach, physically, but I just enjoy it soooo much!

Same with Bodybalance, the two compliment each other well!!
Major in your face and over the top with Attack and focussed, calming and chilled with Balance.

Anyway only a quick update.

Oh yes, I am now using Calorie King Nutrition Software, it is great for tracking daily nutritional intake and has nice charts etc!!

Have a good week

Week 6 - Day 4!

Hi All,
Thanks for all the comments!!

So week 6 - Day 4!! where is this year going let alone my challenge!

Its hubbys B'day on 1st July and that to me always signals how quick the year has gone!!
We are both 30 this year!!! ARGGHHHH I have a real problem with getting to 30! So I'm going to be 20/10.

This week is going well, I have a cold that I thought I has escaped but no I had to go and get it!! I have still been Ok to teach all my classes,(9 so far!) I couldn't do my long run on Monday though as my nose was totally blocked and my throat was sore.

So did it on Tuesday but reduced the distance a little, then Bodyattack on Wednesday and Thursday was enough cardio for those days!!

Plan to do Short High Intensity run today, then a Bodybalance class, then driving to Cannington to do my handover for my GFC position!!!! YAYYY!!

FAMILY NEWS!!! My little boy has blown us away this week with his maths skills!!! All kids at his school (and other schools) were invited to partcipate in the 2006 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools - Mathematics test. All organised and set up by the Uni of NSW. So we paid the fee, sent back the form and heard nothing more, until he came home and said he had done it.

So of course we asked how he went, we got the usual (those without kids - they get to a certain agae and everything becomes 'alright' and they don't disclose alot about their day without intense probing!) 'yeah, it was alright'.

UNTIL!!! he comes home on Wednesday with a certificate and report that you get sent with results on!!
HE GOT A HIGH DISTINCTION!!! (the highest!!) PLUS the report shows him a being top 10% for his year in WA, way above average in all sections of the test and in most sections over and above the range of year 5 scores in WA!!!

GO BRYCE!!!! Anyway, that is my proud mum moment!!! Sorry for going on and on!!

So onward for the weekend, I do plan a free meal with my hubby!!! We have go my dad babysitting!! (he is our only family here) for a couple of hours and we will go for lunch, should be nice, probably going to Hillary's Boat Harbour, those not from Perth, it is a gorgous hub of life, energy and beauty.

Anyway must dash, run to do and class to teach!! Will report on 1/2 way results next week.

4 weeks down, 8 to go!!

Me and my girl!!

Just loving this pic.
Me and Maddison on
our local beach Trigg,
in Perth.

Shes the only one
that finds me funny!!

Anyway, 4 weeks done and dusted!!!

4 week stats
3.1kg loss.
Skinfolds and measurements down.

Feeling good so far perhaps a little slack in weeks 2 & 3 with my food, had free meals and didn't wanT to and added little extras over the rest of the weekend!! but pulled in the reigns since and feeling really positive.

We have moved and I have the most gorgeous park on our doorstep now. The path round the outside is 2.4km, so have been running round and round and round and round for cardio!!

Have got a change in schedule soon with my Group Fitness Instructing, so hoping the body will respond well to that.

Also had some good news in that I have been asked to be 2IC GFC for Fitness First and get to do covers for the Group Fitness Co-ordinators. I have done 2 months at Murray St, the city club and am commencing a 3 month stint at the Cannington club, bit of travelling but hey, this is where I want to be so all good.

Have the In-Laws ariving from UK in 3 weeks so that will be good, the kids will love having Nanny & Grandad here!!

Anyway no more news for now, hope you are all well and THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH for all the comments, it's good to be back on track and blogging again.

Take care, Shar XXX

PS - Sue your looking fab, love the pic.

I'm Back!! Sorry for the Gap!!

I'm Back!!! So please keep checking in all you loveeeerrllleeeyyy ladies that posted comments!!

Anyway a quick re-cap.

Finished my challenge, lost some CM's, lost 3kg, and skinfolds did come down BUT decided against my photos being done as I knew deep down I hadn't made the changes I wanted to due to a bit of a poor effort in all respects really.

Was very disappionted in myself and felt like I had failed etc etc and although I preach the failure way of thinking is no good for body or soul I was feeling it myself,

UNTIL.........................................................I was browsing everyones blogs as I do daily and JODIE saved me!!! (I don't think she knows this!) I read this on her blog , see what
you think.......

The value of failure

The value of failure Failure is a normal and natural part of achievement.

When the failures come, learn from them and then move quickly along.

Failure is not the worst thing that can happen. The worst thing that can happen is to let the fear of failure prevent you from ever doing anything.

If your top priority is to avoid all failure, then you will surely fail.

For only by accepting and living with the possibility of failure can you succeed and achieve.

Failure is not the end of the world. It is merely another step on the pathway to fulfillment, wisdom and achievement.

Though you would never intentionally set out to fail, when failure does come the best thing to do is to gracefully accept what has happened.

That will enable you to gain the most positive value from it.

Then you can move right along to the next step, and soon you'll be a long way past the failure, filled with more wisdom and experience.

Let failure be, and achievement will surely come.-- Ralph Marston

Bearing in mind that this was my second attempt as my operation got in the way during my first challenge!!, then the fact of the complications and being re-hospitilized knocked me for six but again I felt that I had failed, by not recovering quickly.

OK so 1st one, out of my control but gutted I didn't complete it, 2nd one some changes but just down to me not putting in with everything I have , with some outside factors too, but hey no excuses.

So I read this feeling like I had failed, so what was I going to do, not try again and just get there when I get there? be scared to try again incase I just don't make it AGAIN!! ?

NO- I am going to use everything to my advantage and learn form it, not be scared find the courage to go again.!! and that is what I have done, I am now into another challenge and plan on blogging again and reporting in general about my training etc.

So far so good with training, food could be a little better, still struggle at weekends, particularly last weekend when we were moving all weekend! BUT on top of it now and realise that to learn from my past mistakes/blips I need to just focus and get on with it.

Hope you are all well and look forwrd to your comments!! Oh and Thanks JODIE!!

Start of Week 9

So week nine is here.

Have been working hard with my trainng and feeling alot better with myself over the last week. My measurements are down which is good and I will get my skinfolds done again soon.

I have been really busy, I just seem to be running around all the time or sitting at my computer, no time to sit and relax etc, and that is not an exageration.

I don't feel tired just sometimes mentally exhausted.

One positive this week was that I became an Auntie, My sister had her baby (in the UK!!), a little girl called Lauren. I wish I could see them, I miss everyone back home so much and me and my sister are particularly close.

Anyway, thanks or all your comments girls, its great to know you are checking in.

Another week gone by!!

Hi all

I can't believe another week has gone by and it's already the middle of another!!!

I had a really busy weekend and also had my Pilates practical exam and theory exam on Sunday, GOOD NEWS is that I passed both!!!! Strange but I really enjoyed the studyng for the exam!!

Anyway training is going well, as usual and my food is back on track after some wise words from Sue and a incident with my bubba that made me realise that life is too short and I just need to get on with it!!

I am loving the protien puddings at the moment, from the recipe document - WPI and a couple of spoons of the Jello (the ones from Sue) and it sets like a yummy moose!!

Durathon is doing it's job!! I am easily making it to the evenings without feeling tired and worn out, perhaps the reduction in classes has something to do with that aswell.

Anyway still reading lots of blogs, on that subject how do I put the 'blogs I read' down the side of my page? Can anyone tell me?

Must get to bed, lots of work to get done tomorrow as I have another full on weekend and have no time to do it then!!

Blog soon, shar x

HALFWAY POINT REACHED!!

One of the many beautiful

sunsets we saw on or trip

around OZ - 2005!

Week six done and dusted - my halfway results are:

3.4kg weight loss
4.7% drop in bodyfat (done from skinfolds)

These are OK, BUT there is going to be alot more hard work put into the final 6 weeks!!

If I am totally honest, which I am! I haven't given 100%, probably more like 90% and this is mainly to do with the food side of things, my training has been spot on and I can put hand on heart and say I haven't missed one training session!

I am a little disappointedin myself , but hey, onward and upward can't dwell on it.

If I manage the same results in the second half then all will be well.

My classes have dropped back for this 3 month roster so this allows me to do some additional cardio. Having been a quite keen runner at different points along my journey I have caught the bug again!! Just aswell I brought the treaddie!!

My first target is a 1/2 marathon in 7 weeks time, I CAN'T WAIT!!! I have a good base of fitness already due to the classes I teach, so this is achievable for me.

I am in my absolute element designing running programmes and had such success last time I did mine, taken my mile times from 10 1/2 minute miles to 7 minute 20 second miles for a 10 mile race.

I hope to do the Rott Nest Marathon in October! Hope is the key word there though!

I am sorry for the delay in updatng my blog, please don't stop checking, I will make a concious effort to update more regularly.

I have my Pilates exam this Sunday!!! I have een doing my training over the last month and fingers crossed I will pass, so much knowledge required!! Study, study, study.

Ok thats all for now, I'm tired today, I had a tough class tonight!!

Have a great start to the weekend.

Week 6 - Day 4

Maddi & I
This was taken at our
local beach in Perth just
after we arrived in Oz.
She looks like a bubba still!!
Where does the time go?
Sorry for the delay in updating, I have beeen super busy and I had problems logging on a couple of nights ago?
Anyway, all is well, back to training hard this week after I lost a week in bed with the poorly thing.
My treadmill has been working overtime as I have increased my cardio a little.
Its great, hubby has fixed up a telly for me, the time goes so quick, although it's annoying when I'm watching something as I have to keep such a close eye on my Heart rate I just can't keep it up in the correct zone.
Someone asked my today, 'have you lost weight?', I immediaely perked up!! then they sadi ' yeah your face looks alot thinner' !!!!! so I said ' nevermind me face, what about me ass????' (hee Hee)
Anyway, I am up waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy to late, I did 4 tough classes today and my legs are ready to drop off. Cardio to get up and do in the morning! getting a little sick in the head I think (like Rae!) I'm actually looking forward to it!
Anyway, thanks for the comments, love to get them :)
I'll update again soon, I promise.

NEW TREADMILL & SPRAY TAN!!

My Wedding Day 2002

I Lost 4 stone for the

wedding and then

put 5 stone back on

with Maddison

(no excuse, i know)

The rest of the storey's on

the IBO homepage!

I had my spray tan today!! I was giggling to myself all the way through!!
The good news is, she didn't ask me to lift up my boobs!! this means one of two things - she was too embaressed too ask or there isn't anything left to lift up!!
(my bobs always go first!)
Luckily she didn't ask me to lift up my buttocks either as they are most definately still there!!
I have got a new super duper treadmill ! YAY! This is so I can do my cardio first thing in the morning whilst my bubba is still asleep, my hubby os out 4 mornings a week so I can't go out myself.
We had a great morning at the beach making the most of Perth's faberooney weather- 29 today! I just enjoyed siting and relaxing geting some fresh air as I really haven't been out all that much this week while I was reovering.
I want to go and find Jacobs Ladder tomorrow and see if it can fit into my cardio sessions in some way.
Having a junk sorting / tidying day tomorrow as we are both at home with no work for a change!
For those that haven't checked out Selina's blog yet she has posted some after pics, have a look she looks awesome.
Great to hear from you all, keep the comments coming,

Week 5 - Day 3 - POORLY

Early 2005

Me and my boy at

Buchan Caves whilst

we were travelling OZ

Sorry for the delay, but I have been, still am poorly. Alot of the instructors I work with have had this throat, cold, cough thing and yes I recieved it too!!

Unfortunately I have had the throat bit quite bad and have a real bed issue with my voice aswell as the above. Nevermind, no classes for a week and lots of sleep and I should be good. Lucky it's easter and I had the weekend off anyway.

All has been good, seeing some changes coming along, nothing major but enough to re-fuel my fire and keep me going.

Booked photographer today will fill you in on next post.

Must dive back into bed as I'm starting to feel rough again, why are we worse in the morning and evening, anyone with the medical answer could you let me know?

Hope you are all well and a special mention to Selina who is finishing this weekend, just get through Friday and you will look fab girl!!
